Paul, congrats on your article which I just read! I knew nothing about Bassin de la Villette but think your idea of a Velib would be perfect for someone unused to riding in the traffic of Paris.
It also looks like a photographer’s wonderland, a place to watch people while enjoying a cool adult beverage, etc. Merci!
I have added this to my Paris list of “next time.”
