Where Is It Wednesday? 2010-10-27

Paris By Cell Phone: Oct 27, 2010: Where Is It Wednesday?

Sorry I’m a day late with this! My alternate reality (the one off the web) is getting pretty hectic of late. Thank goodness this weekend is three days!

Anyway, back to the task at hand: where is this?

First answer in the comment section wins a coveted Chupa Chups badge (with even better prizes for repeat winners)!

Update: The Armchair Parisian found the correct address but could not get the name of the building. First one to name it correctly also gets a coveted Chupa Chups badge.

Scandal at Paris Inspired Photos this week! i gave Lindsey the coveted Chupa Chups badge for her answer “Palais Royal” because the Louvre was, in fact, a Royal Palace. Obviously, this is a Royal Palace and not the Palais Royal, which is down the street. While I knew what Lindsey meant, I’ll be a little stricter concerning answers in the future; so be warned!

Where is this?

If it doesn’t look familiar, here’s a hint: it’s more popular than it looks.

Le Bistrot Gourmand

To supplement my article “Hidden Treasures in Paris’s 17th” (published at Bonjour Paris), I’m posting some additional pictures of the bistro I review in the piece.

Which do you prefer, the fine wines or the coffee by the cup?

I’m Somebody!

“Who dis?”

It’s me! It’s me!

My friend Sab over at Paris Photo Quiz is on a mission to make me famous. As I got one of the answers correct to his Paris quizzes, he sent me a real trophy (and not one of those virtual things I hand out!): Paris Set Me Free bookmarks.

So you can go over to his site and see me being famous and, while you’re there, see if you recognize any of his sites. Even better, he’s lowered the difficulty and now all you have to do is leave a comment to get a fancy shmancy bookmark, which are also good as toothmicks (you’ll see!).

See you in the streets,

Paris Paul

Where Is It Wednesday? October 13, 2010

Paris By Cell Phone: 2010-10-13: Where Is It Wednesday?

Where is this? And to whom is it dedicated?

Technically this ‘statue’ isn’t in Paris, but I imagine many tourists have passed this hand more than once. Sorry for the poor framing but the RER was moving too fast for me to take the necessary time.
